Who Moved My Cheese - The Reality of Abundance

10/25/2022

I've written quite a bit about how Globalists have created Scary Scarcity to terrify their citizens.  They want you to beg the government for more restrictions and controls.

I've also written about the immense abundance we enjoy here in America (and Canada).

Here is a small example of abundance.

Over the past 30 years, milk production has increased by 50% while milk consumption has been declining.  The US Government and dairy conglomerates have been converting the extra milk into cheese and storing it for decades.

The 'cheese surplus' is now at 1.5 BILLION lbs. Much of it stored in huge underground warehouses.
www.visualcapitalist.com/us-cheese-stockpile/

This has occurred even though Americans now consume more than twice as much cheese as they did in the 70's.

Please note that the charts are from 2019... before the current crush of inflation.  That said, in spite of growing population, growing domestic consumption and huge exports,  the productivity of our farms continues to create a surplus.

Analysis
The shortages and inflation we're experiencing in food (and  energy) are the direct result of governments (here and in Europe) that are both corrupt and incompetent.

Recall... just two months ago, French President Macron (a WEF puppet) said "we are living the end of what could have seemed an era of abundance… the end of the abundance of products of technologies that seemed always available … the end of the abundance of land and materials including water”.

neoterra.us/blog/the-great-reset-europe-is-so-screwed-part-2

Please let that sink in for a moment.  He is not saying we have a temporary setback and a tough winter ahead.   He is saying that abundance was nothing more than a blip and the era is now over... FOREVER.

He (and other Globalists) is telling his citizens that 300 years of material progress and increasing prosperity has ended ... apparently terminated by a bad case of the flu and an increase in CO2.

Conclusion
Don't believe the BS.   When they tell you that farting cows are destroying planet Terra... just go buy some delicious cheese.  There is no shortage.

OMG!   Just yesterday I said I wasn't going to write about bug burgers.   Well, today, the Netherlands has rolled out a campaign serving mealworms and insects to school children.  YAY!.

But don't take my word for it.  Enjoy the video .

Scarcity - Happy Eight Billion Day

10/5/2022

Just in case you weren't paying attention, the world population hit 8 BILLION last night.   Happy Eight Billion Day!

What the Globalists don't want to tell you is that the populations of wealthy countries are stable or even decreasing, but the populations in the most uneducated, unskilled countries are exploding.

It is completely irrational that some countries (Canada, The Netherlands) are restricting the use of critical synthetic fertilizer while the population is growing by Hundreds Of Thousands per DAY.  There will be a food crisis in 2023 and the Globalists will try to blame it on Climate Change or Russia.

Here's what the world looks like today.  Click the pic to read the article at Visual Capitalist.

The Great Reset - Europe Is So Screwed - Part 4

Recap
I really did not plan to continue this topic beyond Part 3... but here we are.

In the previous three segments I talked about the expanding energy crisis in Europe, which continues to get worse, and the continuing drought.

Nord Stream Destroyed
The Euro energy crisis is now guaranteed to last until 2024 at the earliest... perhaps until 2026!

The Nord Stream pipelines were blown up in what seems to be an act  of sabotage by unknown actors. It is known that both of the Nord Stream 1 pipes were destroyed.  At least one, and possibly both, of the Nord Stream 2 pipes were damaged or destroyed.

Evidence for sabotage comes from the Swedish Seismic Network which recorded two large  underwater explosions in the area where there is now a massive gas leak roiling in the Baltic. (Click the pic)   The leak is so large that there is a churning bubble of methane 1/2 mile in diameter.

Picture

What Next?
There is no immediate effect on Europe since Russia had already shut off the flow of gas in retaliation to Euro-American sanctions. (Note, the pipes had to remain pressurized although no gas was being delivered).

However, the destruction of the pipelines means that there is no possibility of re-establishing the supply if Europe were to reach a reconciliation with Russia.  Since Europe previously received about 40% of its NatGas supply from Russia, the coming winter will be bleak and many key industries (and jobs) will remain shut down indefinitely.

In an act of irony (or Karma) the Europeans are devastating their forests in a desperate attempt to stockpile firewood.  They are quite literally destroying the Environment today because of their misguided policies to save the Climate of the future.

I have my theories on who is responsible.

The Rational Prepper - Victory Gardens

9/28/2022

There is a looming global food shortage created by bad (Green) energy policies and exacerbated by drought and the Ukraine War.  I don't think people will be starving in America but we will be paying ever higher prices for food.

It's time to start a garden!  (I know that many of you already do some gardening).

History
Of course rural folks have always had gardens.  During WW2 the gov encouraged people everywhere to plant home or community gardens and they called them "Victory Gardens".

Back in the 1940's we were a patriotic nation united in a great battle of good vs evil.  Today we are fighting fake catastrophes created by the elite Progressives at the WEF.   (hmmm... perhaps it is still Good vs Evil... it is just that we are no longer united).   The two following pictures illustrate Then Vs Now.

Europe Is SO Screwed
Rationing was another aspect of the War era that may be coming back to America in 2023.  Brandon has drained the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to buy votes in the midterms and the Administration has now exhausted every dishonest option at their disposal.   Rationing of gasoline and diesel could happen in 2023.

Europe is totally screwed and the puppet-masters at the WEF will be calling on Brandon to bail Europe out at our expense.

People in Europe are already facing a "Heating vs Eating" crisis and I firmly believe Joe will bring that crisis home to America.  Ironically, it currently looks like the northern 'blue' states will be punished the most... so perhaps there is a bit of Karma at work.

Picture
A neoTerra Victory Garden
I never considered gardening because neoTerra is so shaded by large trees (and I'm lazy).

However, to get Starlink working, I had to have several trees north of the house topped. (and I'll have to top more). There is now a partially sunny area north of the driveway.  I also got about 2 face cords of firewood for 2023 and a BIG pile of mulch.

I'm thinking about putting in a small (20x16) garden, kind-of like this, before Spring.  It will need to have an electrified fence to keep Bambi and Yogi out.

Picture

With the trees cleared, the next step is to bring in a couple truckloads of topsoil so I can level the area.   Then, I can install the fence so it will be ready for Spring.

The Great Reset - Europe Is So Screwed Part 1

Introduction
I've been writing about the Boogeymen of Doom for a couple of years now.  How globalists, primarily orchestrated by the World Economic Forum (WEF) the U.N. and Socialist Democrats, use these boogeymen to frighten the populace into submission so they will surrender their rights and freedoms to the self-anointed global elites.

I gave some of the boogeymen names to diffuse the fear.  The boogeymen are, indeed, real (or potentially real) but they have been enormously exaggerated to induce mass hysteria.  Funny names help put them in their place.
  • Scary Scarcity (poverty, famine)
  • Climate Hysterians (the oceans are going to boil in 30 years)
  • Scamdemics (you will die if the gov doesn't force your neighbors to get jabbed)
  • and, last but not least, the return of Fearsome Fallout (World War III)
Picture

  • Sidebar - In a future post I will introduce my newest super-villain... Divisive Diversity

Converging Crises
I've been thinking about how the converging crises might play out.   I don't follow conspiracy theories so I don't believe the WEF actually engineered the COVID Scamdemic.  However, they never let a crisis go to waste and, gleefully exaggerated and exploited COVID to wreak havoc on the global economy.
Picture

At first, I thought that the global energy crisis would be bad for the WEF because it will kill the Climate Change boogeyman.  People are not happy being forced to choose between heating and eating.  Climate activists are going to become VERY unpopular and will be pushed out of Government.

However, it is very likely that Climate Change was never a real objective... it was just a tool to induce an energy crisis.  Perhaps the Climate Hysterians that the WEF installed in governments around the world are now expendable.  After all, the WEF has Blackrock, Zuckerberg, Gates and Arab OIL billionaires in the bullpen.
  • On the other hand, the extreme drought in Europe could be used to keep the Climate Change narrative alive.  I am sure that the WEF will take advantage of every crisis.

If things get bad enough in Europe they will beg for Hitler... (or Klaus Schwab) ... to save them.   History repeats itself.

Energy Scarcity
Let's start with the European energy crisis which is entirely their own fault.   Do you remember when Trump blocked construction of the Nordstream 2 pipeline and warned Germany that they were too dependent on Russia?  Do you recall that he tried to convince them to buy American LNG instead?  If not... here ya' go:  www.politico.eu/article/germany-plays-trump-card-in-pursuit-of-russian-nord-stream-2-pipeline-dream/

Trump tried to convince them to make long term commitments to American LNG because it takes years to build plants and ships to produce and transport the gas.   They laughed at him.  Well, here we are and Europe is so screwed.  Here are current Natural Gas (NG) prices in Europe.  Holy Shit!

Please note, when Biden took office the price was 27.632. Nine months later (long before the war in Ukraine) the price hit 118. ... a 427% increase.  (click the pic for details)

Picture

Instability
As an engineer, I spent a lot of time insuring that a system would behave in a reliable and predictable manner.  Insuring stability.

The chart below (courtesy of ZeroHedge) only goes back to July of 2021.  However, prior to Joe taking office there was a reliable correlation between energy content and cost.  This ratio is depicted in the chart as Oil Barrel Equivalents.   I don't want to bore you with micro-details but this is important.
  • Sidebar - a Barrel of Oil yields about 6 million BTUs of energy.  This is the equivalent of 60 Therms of Natural gas. In other words, both forms of energy can be compared on the cost per BTU or the cost per Therm or (in this case) the cost per 6M BTU.
  • WTI is West Texas Intermediate Crude which is a benchmark for US petroleum vs Nat Gas.

In an ideal (capitalistic) world, the cost of each form of energy should be about the same.  As consumers, we don't really care where those BTUs came from (unless you are a Climate Hysterian).  There may be seasonal differences (more demand for NG for heating in the winter vs more demand for WTI/gasoline in the summer).

The energy economics continued to be stable until the end of August of 2021.  At that point we start to see divergences in American energy (WTI fluctuating vs US NG) but European energy breaks down into CHAOS.

Just look at the chart... (Note, the following chart expands on the previous 5 year chart). In October of 2021 EU NG surges more than 200% and then falls back at the end of October.   But then it surges to an even greater high in December... and craters again in January.

Please look at the pattern.  A wild peak and a bumpy drop... and even worse peak and another bumpy drop... with each cycle getting WORSE.  This is the exact pattern of an unstable system in decay.

Picture
A System In Decay
Did you ever play with a top?  As the energy is expended it begins to wobble... it becomes unstable and the wobble gets more extreme.  Europe has become unstable.

Honestly,  just look at the chart;  the European top is about to flip over. I don't want those welfare socialists to take America down with them.

Picture

Seriously... Wobbling?
I know,  You don't think that Chaos theory applies to real life.   You are totally confident that Schwab, Joe and the WEF are going to save Democracy and make everything comfortable again.  Yeah... sure.

The following video is a perfect, real-life example of what happens when a system becomes unstable.    A  35 mile per hour wind took this bridge down.  And the guy in charge of the project was an 'expert'.  (The video is actually pretty entertaining).

Is the US Unstable?
The price of NG in the United States has more than doubled in the first 8 months of 2022 but it isn't going through wild fluctuations.

The US is in fairly good shape in spite of Biden's war on energy.  We are the world's largest producer of NG.  The Europeans would now love to take Trump's suggestion to buy a LOT more LNG.  They are buying as much as they can and driving up prices here at home.  Fortunately (for the American consumer) the LNG plants and ships weren't built and Europe can't suck us into their energy crisis .. yet. (Credit to the Visual Capitalist for the amazing graphic)

Picture

Coal, Nasty Coal
Remember when all the Progressives were losing their minds because Trump refused to go along with the Paris Climate Accord?  Sure you do because they all celebrated when Joe Biden signed on to that worthless treaty on his first day in office.  www.instituteforenergyresearch.org/climate-change/biden-rejoins-paris-climate-agreement/

Well, Germany (and other hypocrites in Europe) are not going to meet any of their Climate Commitments because they are now reactivating their retired coal power plants.  Suddenly, coal is their saviour.

Europe might be able to pump more energy into their wobbling top if they abandon their Climate Change religion.

Picture
The situation in Germany is so dire that coal trains are now given priority over their esteemed, on-time passenger trains. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Electricity
I have to switch gears a bit because electricity is our most versatile form of energy. The wobble in fuel prices is really concerning, but many Progressives are only concerned with the transition to wonderful, 'clean' electricity and they don't care how much WE have to pay. To the surprise of many Climate Hysterians, electricity doesn't just spew out of rainbows for free.
  • The neoTerra News Network has inside info indicating AOC has theorized that Unicorn farts are as powerful as nuclear fusion. Unfortunately, no one has been able to capture a Unicorn fart or achieve nuclear fusion... so the debate rages on

Electricity has to be produced from other forms of energy.  When the price of fuel goes up so does the price of electricity.

Our rates in North Georgia went up 10% in July.  The first increase in 5+ years.  We are lucky, rates have increased by 18% - 40% in other parts of the country.

But that is NOTHING compared to Europe.  No fuel - no juice.  Electric rates in Europe have increase by as much as 700% in the last 12 months.  It is simply unaffordable.  (Credit to ZeroHedge Click the pic)

Picture

European Economic Impact
As I've written previously, energy is the foundation of prosperity.

Last year Europe started shutting down production of fertilizer (requires NG) and some production of metals.  With soaring energy costs, zinc and aluminum smelters are being shuttered.

The effects will ripple through the entire economy and put millions of people out of work.  You can't make aircraft, or beer cans, or thousands of other products without aluminum.  You can't make plastics without petroleum. Food production will be cut in half without synthetic fertilizer.

They will try to blame the economic collapse on COVID, supply chain issues, Climate Change or Putin.   But it all revolves around energy policy and it is all their fault.

Europe is so screwed.

What About America?
We live in a global economy and Americans will suffer continuing inflation, shortages and a possible recession (loss of jobs).

But America will be OK.  DON'T PANIC

Earlier, I showed a graphic of Natural Gas (NG).  The United States is much larger than second-place Russia.  But that is just half the story.  The United States is also the world's largest producer of oil.  For almost 60 years, every President (except one) and every Progressive elite expert said this was impossible.

For most of my life, we hemorrhaged Billions of $$ per year to countries that hate us and we fought endless wars over oil.   All because dishonest leaders and elite experts told us we could never, ever be self sufficient.

When Joe Biden took office, the United States was energy self-sufficient and the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) had been replenished.  For the first time in my entire life, the United States was a net exporter of energy and we were no longer gushing cash-for-gas to our enemies.

This week, the SPR has been drained down to it's lowest level in 35 years.  Biden is openly and officially committed to continue the drain until the mid-terms and the SPR will be sucked down to the lowest level in over 40 years.  Biden is a criminal.  www.reuters.com/business/energy/us-crude-spr-hits-lowest-level-since-january-1985-2022-08-22/

If I'm correct, and energy is the key to prosperity, then the United States and Russia should rule the world after the current shitshow plays out.  All we need is a concrete policy of America First.

In conclusion, here's another great graphic from Visual Capitalist.  Damn, the US is still awesome.
  • In the next segment I'll talk about the Great Drought.  It is NOT due to Climate Change.

Get The Lead Out
With an impending global food crisis a lot of people are starting or expanding home gardens so they can have more control over their food supply. For example, the price of eggs has jumped 47% in a single year. finance.yahoo.com/news/eggs-prices-us-jump-47-001717350.html

Progressives hate the thought of anyone having any independence so they've invented a brand new boogeyman to keep you under control.   LEAD POISONING from home gardens.

A recent study has shown that backyard chickens (and their eggs) contained 30X as much lead as store-bought eggs. VERY SCARY.

However, as a matter of full disclosure, the study was done in Australia and focused on properties that were contaminated with lead from proximity to lead mines or that had lead paint or lead pipes (does anyone still have lead pipes?).

It seems that science has proven that testing areas known to be contaminated with lead discovers those areas are contaminated with lead.

The advice from the Rational Prepper says Don't buy property next to a toxic mining operation, or a toxic waste dump or an Australian city.   You're Welcome!   Enjoy your veggies and eggs!

Zero Percent Inflation

Lyin' Biden
This really belongs in Clown World but it just cant wait.

Today, the Labor Department released inflation figures for July showing that inflation continues at a rate of 8.5%.  This is a slight decline from the record 9.1% last month... a decline that is certainly welcome news and the markets having a good day.

But then, Dishonest Joe made a press release claiming that inflation was ZERO percent.  How does this guy get away with a steady stream of absolute, outright LIES?  Here is the actual chart from Joe's very own Bureau of Labor Statistics.   Does it look anywhere close to ZERO??

Picture

Please watch the vid and watch Joe blow smoke up your butt.  Then read the batshit-crazy comments from Progressives.  These folks believe they are the intellectual elites but can't comprehend that 8.5 > zero.

The Rational Prepper - Depression Era Cuisine

8/6/2022

Introduction
This segment is partially tongue-in-cheek.

At this point, the most likely situations are recession and runaway inflation.  Loss of income is a real possibility for people who are working.  Inflation is a drag on everyone, especially those of us on a fixed income.

Inflation
Remember when The Administration told us there was no inflation... then they said it was just transitory... then they said it wasn't such a bad thing because it would make us conserve more..?  Recently, several Democrat intellectuals have said "Stop whining America... you are too rich anyway... just suck it up".

I don't know how anyone can approve of Biden's performance, but his approval rating still hovers above 30%.  This is proof that people are irrational.

Recession
This week, the Commerce Department announced that the GDP shrank by .9% in the second quarter.  This is much worse than the .5% gain that was predicted by Biden's cheerleaders.  It follows an even worse decline of 1.6% in the first quarter.

President Biden declared that we are not in a Recession,  No Way!  C'mon man, this is the greatest economic recovery in history!

This is the same dishonest bullshit he told us about inflation last year. (click the pic).
Picture

Amazon alone cut over 100,000 employees in the 2nd quarter and numerous other companies are making cuts or instituting hiring freezes. www.zerohedge.com/economics/amazon-cuts-100000-employees-workforce-single-quarter

But never fear America,  the Biden Administration is creating 87,000 new jobs at the IRS as part of the deceitfully named Inflation Reduction Act.   It's classic Democrat economics... crush productive businesses while increasing taxes and expanding unproductive government.  www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-inflation-reduction-act-would-allow-irs-to-hire-up-to-87000-new-employees-raise-taxes-report

Lean Cuisine
History seems to repeat itself.  The Great Depression followed the Great Pandemic (the Spanish Flu) and the Great Drought (the dustbowl was the greatest drought in modern history).

Here are some great meals from the Great Depression... for the coming days when you can't afford food.  Many of the better depression-era meals centered around hot dogs, spam or dehydrated chipped beef.   YUM!

Of course, even that crap was often unaffordable (or unavailable) so folks had to improvise a lot. Some of my favorites include:  www.listchallenges.com/depression-era-food
  • Hoover stew (Macaroni, hot dogs and canned tomatoes)
  • Creamed peas on toast
  • Creamed chipped beef (aka, shit on a shingle)
  • Mayonnaise sandwich (if you are lucky enough to have mayo)
  • Lard sandwich YAY!
  • Bacon fat sandwich (even better than lard)
  • Oatmeal with lard (better with bacon grease, of course)
  • Spam and noodles.  (Like Hoover Stew but made with Glorious Spam)

Click the pics for recipes.

Stock Up Today!!

Remember America, the elite Democrats are telling you that you are too prosperous and you live too well.

Just a few days ago Mary Daly, the Fed President for San Francisco, said "I don't feel the pain of inflation anymore. I see prices rising but I have enough... I sometimes balk at the price of things, but I don't find myself in a space where I have to make tradeoffs because I have enough, and many Americans have enough".   I suppose I should mention that Ms. Daly is a staunch Progressive who makes $422,900 per year at the taxpayers expense. www.zerohedge.com/political/i-dont-feel-pain-inflation-anymore-says-wealthy-fed-chair-ivory-tower

So, peasants, quit whining and vote Democrat.

The Rational Prepper - Introduction

7/29/2022

This really should have been the first installment of The Rational Prepper, but a couple of other topics took precedence.

I should mention;  the neoTerra blog was originally focused on Sustainable Design and Sustainable Living.  Over the past year it has focused more on sustaining liberty and individual freedom.   The Rational Prepper segments will be more in line with the original focus on Sustainable Living.

This will be a long segment.  I hope you don't lose interest.

Here We Go.

Sustainabilty versus Survivability
First, we need to have a common/mutual understanding of 'sustainable' since that is core to the whole concept of being a Rational Prepper.

I use the term 'sustain' in much the same way as 'preserve'.  To 'sustain' is to prolong a desirable state or condition by some strategy or effort.   For example, no one has to sustain the sun coming up in the morning... it happens all on its own and requires no effort.

Conversely, no one seeks to sustain poverty or illness... those are not desirable conditions.

To survive is a whole different matter.  It means to persevere, to live, through danger, hardship and sacrifice.   In my mind, survival is what comes next if we fail to sustain.

Threats versus Situations
I don't consider myself to be a prepper... I view myself as a planner.

A Rational Prepper must have the discipline to think about situations, circumstances and events rather than react to fear of Threats (capitalized).

Let us agree that the term 'Threat' (capital T) is a situation where your life/safety (or the life/safety of those you love) is in imminent danger.

I laugh when I hear some say 'They threatened to cancel me on Twitter".  Ya, ya it's proper English but that isn't a Threat... it's barely even an inconvenience.   A Threat is when a maniac with a chainsaw is chasing you around Bed Bath And Beyond... in a Progressive city... where no one is armed.  That is truly an "OH SHIT!!" situation.

We humans can rationally contemplate (and plan for) almost any situation if we are calm and  put our mind to it.  But, when faced with an imminent Threat or the perception of a Threat,  the only options are fight or flight (or, perhaps, hunker down).

Keep in mind, that every psychological study ever done shows that humans are far more emotional than rational.   Think about it... you can scare the crap out of yourself sitting on your comfortable couch in your nice safe living room watching a scary movie (actually, I can't... but most people can).

Emotions, especially fear, are automatic. That's why Mass Psychosis is so effective.

Rational thinking, on the other hand, requires us to overcome our innate emotions... it requires discipline.  If you perceive every potential Threat as a reality then your instinctive emotions will not allow you to rationally plan.

I remind you, that we live in an environment where media and dishonest government feed us a steady diet of FEAR.  Scamdemics, spiraling crime, famine, climate change... it takes discipline to counteract the torrent of anxiety.

In the next section I'll talk a bit about how to conquer anxiety and think rationally.

Probability x Loss = Value
Personally, I view prepping is the same way I view buying insurance.  I try to understand the likelihood that some bad event will occur... I try to understand how much it would cost to recover from the loss and that determines how much I'm willing to pay for insurance.

Of course, evaluation is not very precise.  I have no idea what the probability of neoTerra burning down is, but I do have a fair idea of what it would cost to replace. I can put some rational value on insurance.

BTW, I'm using homeowners/renters insurance as an example because everyone buys it and  it highlights the difference between sustain and survive.  You buy insurance to sustain your lifestyle in the event of a loss.  If you were willing to merely survive you'd skip the insurance and take the chance that you might have to survive in a homeless shelter.

The Rational Prepper evaluates prepping in the same manner as they evaluate insurance.  In fact, I view insurance as the preferred form of prepping for any situation where insurance is commonly available.

Survival Mentality - The Cost of the Loss
At this point, I'd like to add a few comments on what I call 'survival mentality'.

In the previous section I describe a method where you can step back and  'rationally' attach a value to some aspect of sustainability... it may be insurance or some other form of prepping.  But this only works if you can rationally contemplate the Cost of the Loss.

The loss of your Life (or those you love) is Infinite.  It is impossible to attach a monetary value to your children's lives...  if you embrace a survival mentality
it is impossible to make rational plans. If you succumb to a survival mentality it becomes impossible to corral your emotions and anxieties.

Try to focus on sustainability and accept that survival is where we end up only if sustainability fails.

Situations to Prep For
Let's consider a few common situations that we should ALL prepare for.   I will look at the probability and then the potential loss.  This establishes a value... or the amount you might be willing to commit to preparing.

First, I'd like to stress... for any situation where insurance is commonly available , then insurance is the obvious 'prep'.

Loss of Income
For those who are working, the most likely situation is loss of income.  You may not think of this as a 'Prep' but is is most definitely a situation that will adversely affect your life and is highly probable under the current Administration..

The equation:  In today's economy the probability of loosing your source of income may be as high as 25% and the impact is 100% of your income.  This is a pretty serious situation.

How do you prepare for loosing your job?

I was self employed for most of my career and I was frequently unemployed.  Government 'unemployment insurance' provides a small safety net but it may not exist for many people (such as myself or the increasing members of the 'gig' economy).

The Prep: The only 'preps' for loss of income are pretty difficult.  You must live beneath your means and build some savings.  You must also invest in your skills and training/education to insure that you are valuable and employable. (Or, you must be lucky enough to be in the top 100 millionth of humanity and become a self-made billionaire... it could happen).

Aging
Very few people considering aging as a 'situation' they have to 'prep' for.  BUT It Is.

The Equation: There is a 100% chance that you will age (unless you die young... but then you don't have to prep).  It is guaranteed that you will eventually lose income, mobility and health as you age.

The Prep:  This is a huge topic that deserves its own segment (Ageing in Place).  However, a few comments are in order.
  • Ageing absolutely results in loss of income. Social Security is a scam and a joke.  You will need equity and/or investments to mitigate the loss of income and sustain your life.
  • Ageing degrades health, eyesight, hearing and stamina.   This Blog is not directed to those who willingly accept survival as cripples.  We can't sustain youth but we can strive to sustain health and energy.  Control your weight, stop smoking, get some exercise... live long and prosper.
    • Sidebar - I understand that many, many people have been impacted by disease (cancer), accidents or genetics.  They have a more difficult challenge than the rest of us.  Nevertheless, aging is a 100% challenge for everyone.

Lions And Tigers and Bears... Oh My!
The whole point of the previous section was to encourage you to calmly look at the probability of a 'situation' in relation to it's potential cost.
  • The potential of a zombie apocalypse is 0.0%.
  • The likelihood that hoards of ANTIFA marauders will invade your community is 0.0%.
  • The likelihood that civilization will collapse is 0%

If we allow ourselves to believe in apocalyptic scenarios, the 'cost-of-the-loss' is almost infinite (loss of life).   It is hard to be calm and rational when thinking about death.  BUT, Keep in mind...  infinite cost times ZERO probability is still ZERO.  JUST GET OVER IT AND DON'T PANIC

There are many. MANY, other events/situations that can affect our lives and which actually have  high probability.  Fortunately, all of the likely situations are not only survivable but they are also sustainable.

NEXT
Let's talk about real-world, situations that our government(s) are intentionally creating right now.
  • Inflation (loss of investment, savings and buying power)
  • Recession (Loss of income, going underwater, loss of home, loss of family)
  • Scarcity (fewer goods, empty shelves and, of course, more inflation because desperate people will pay ANYTHING).
  • Increasing crime in urban areas.  Defunded police, Progressive DAs...  GTFO major cities if you can.
