I've been writing about the World Economic Forum (WEF) for some time. They recently concluded their annual extravaganza in Davos Switzerland and I've been trying to catch up.

Klaus Schwab, the leader of the WEF, is one of the most influential men on Terra. However, it is unclear whether he is the mastermind of global serfdom or just another (well enriched) puppet of the billionaires.

So, here's the question... "Is Klaus the savoir of human civilization, or is he a Hollywood super villain?" Let's have some fun... YOU be the judge!

Well the folks at the Great Reset have a new slogan. "Bugs, Eat Them All". Because eating meat causes Global Warming and if we eat bugs like good virtuous serfs we can save the climate. Eliminating meat is Goal #4 for the year 2030.

Those empty shelves at the market and the spiraling cost of real meat are meant to convince you that bugs are yummy, delicious and nutritious. Well, they probably are, but I don't want to eat them.

To be honest, I have no objection to farming insects. Particularly if we can use them to produce feed for chickens, fish and other, more desirable, livestock. But I’m not sure why WE have to eliminate real meat in order to feed the rest of world. Can’t they grow their own bugs??

So, bug-burgers are the new Beyond Meat with Insect Burgers being sold in Germany and Switzerland. Mealworms (mehlwurmen) and maggots are the preferred source of protein.

You might ask, “why should I have to eat maggots?” Well, silly, I already told you in the previous post. To save the Climate and foster global equity WE have to give up travel, live in a 160 square foot doghouse, wear a mask, get many jabs, abandon air-conditioning and ….eat bugs. Got it?? AND you WILL be happy!!

Self Inflicted Scarcity - Rampant Theft

What is the quickest way to create bare shelves?? How about rampant theft with no prosecution??

License To Steal
Progressive District Attorneys around the country are on an intentional campaign to insure that retail theft hits epidemic proportions. Many of these individuals had their campaigns financed by George Soros.

Cook County (Illinois) States Attorney Kim Foxx has now made retail theft of under $1000 a misdemeanor. Now you can just walk out of the store with $999 of stuff without paying and receive a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card. YAY!

This is working out really well in NYC where many stores are being stripped bare on a daily basis. There were over 26,385 shoplifting incidents last year… the highest in history. The same crisis is occurring in California which has a $950 limit. Walgreens closed 13 stores in San Francisco alone last year because of rampant theft.

No Honor Among Thieves
Honestly, I don't know if I should laugh at the Progressive Urban Socialists (PUS) who are destroying their own communities or cry for our nation when looters are robbing other looters. Where the hell are the defunded police when someone is trying to steal your stolen stuff.

Conclusion
When you let the thugs out of prison then the world itself becomes YOUR prison. You can quote me on that.

Self Inflicted Scarcity - Fertilizer

In the previous post I briefly mentioned how government energy policy is creating a critical shortage of fertilizer. Today I'd like to discuss this self inflicted crisis in a little more detail.

The Haber Process
Nitrogen is essential for plant growth, but Nitrogen is almost inert and doesn't bond easily with other elements. Prior to the discovery/invention of the Haber Process bat guano was a primary source of nitrogen-rich fertilizer... and bat guano is genuinely scarce.

Over 100 years ago, two German scientists, Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch, developed a chemical process to transform Nitrogen from the air and methane (i.e. natural gas) into synthetic fertilizer.

Note that Nitrogen compounds can be unstable so the first use of the Haber process was the manufacture of explosives in WWI. Following the war, with the process perfected, the production of synthetic fertilizer took off and millions (perhaps billions) of people have been saved from starvation.

I won't go into the chemistry but you can click the colorful graphic to get a full explanation.

In short, Nitrogen is taken from the air (the blue input at the bottom left) and natural gas (the red input) provides Hydrogen and a LOT of heat. The result is ammonia which is then converted into fertilizer (or explosives).

This is a prime example of why the Scarcity Boogeyman has failed to appear... human ingenuity creates alternatives and substitutes for scarce resources (like bat guano).

As an important side benefit, the use of synthetic fertilizer dramatically increases crop yields... we can grow a LOT more food on a LOT less land. It is estimated that we would need four times as much crop land without synthetic fertilizer.

Energy Shortage = Food Shortage
This crisis has been building for awhile and the Wall Street Journal has picked up on this looming shitstorm.

I want to be very clear, I don't expect that anyone will starve in America. For us, the result of food shortages will be continuing inflation. Food will cost more (along with energy), but we will get by.

People in poor countries will not be able to afford food and I expect to see all manner of propaganda from the UN saying that Climate Change is responsible for famine. (Click the Pic).

This will be double Boogeymen-of-Doom on a bicycle built for two.

What About Organic Fertilizer
Organic is good, right?? Sure, manure of various sorts has been used as fertilizer since the dawn of agriculture. The problem is, manure isn't abundant or convenient.

In utopian North Korea the fertilizer crisis is so severe the government is “encouraging” the comrades to produce fertilizer from their own poop. The ‘suggested’ quota is about 300 lbs of poop-per-person. I don't know how they expect to accomplish this, as that is about twice the body weight of the average North Korean peasant.

“In an attempt to incentivize people, North Korea has also introduced a pass which will only be given to people who achieve that quota of manure production,” You can’t make this shit up folks (Gosh I love my own jokes).

If you thought jab-passports were bad.. just imagine the Squad advocating poop-passports to get into restaurants or grocery stores ALL CHEER FOR GLORIOUS SOCIALISM... YAY!!

Conclusion
Energy shortages are inflicted upon us by our own governments and the UN. These shortages will ripple through all aspects of the global economy and result in a declining standard of living in industrialized nations and starvation in poor nations.

We may also see accelerated environmental degradation in poor countries as they are forced to destroy forestland to develop more cropland.

And it is all intentional.

They Want All Your Stuff
I hope this post makes you angry! Very, Very Angry Indeed!

I want to remind you that Climate Change is but one of the Boogeymen of Doom that the globalists are using to scare us into submission. However, it has enormous financial backing and prestige so there's a lot riding on its coattails.

I make no apology for calling Climate Change an intentional deception since it has been going on for 60+ years. During this time, disaster is always 10-20 years away and not a single prediction has come true. They just keep moving the goal posts so they can frighten a new generation.

In fact, no scientist can fail that many times with a straight face. Climate Change is a hoax specifically intended to destroy capitalism, America and Prosperity itself.

The "Progressives" want all your freedoms and all your stuff... and our current government is helping them along.

I’m not making this up. I quote from a Progressive source:
“If we want to stand a chance of building socialism… environmentalists must also become eco-socialists. The dynamics that drive climate change are core to capitalism. Serious action on climate change will necessarily amount to the first steps of a program to end capitalism.”

The author goes on to say that socialism will indeed make us poor... but we don't need stuff anyway.

Please note this is NOT some fringe conspiracy theory. In 2017, Christiana Figueres, the UN co-chair of the IPCC expressed the same sentiment. She claimed there were only 3 years left to save our planet!   That was 5 years ago.

She went on to say:

Dear Christiana, I did not vote for you. Actually, no one voted for you. If you would like to negotiate please stop by my home with some of your UN blue-helmet peace keepers and we can discuss your demands. Please bring one of those blue armored personnel carriers (APC), I'd really like to have one as a souvenir.

The End of Private Property
Redistribution of resources is not enough to satisfy the Progressive 'elites'. We need to just rip up the laws that protect property:

Property is 9/10th of the law, as the saying goes, Of course if you see climate change from a revolutionary perspective then you rip up those capitalist laws that are protecting the ill-gotten gains of the rich who are plundering our natural environment."

The author goes on to justify confiscating everything we own for the good of society:
"Likewise with the housing crisis, we need to just seize the homes of the rich and turn them into social housing to end homelessness and no doubt deal with the massive climate refugee crisis coming our way." Conclusion
Progressive Urban Socialists (PUSs) have been elevated to an 'elite' class by billionaires, fading monarchs and UN bureaucrats. They are laying the groundwork to destroy our economy and reduce us all to serfdom.

Climate Change is nothing more than a boogeyman they are using to convince people to accept voluntary slavery in a Brave New World... and The Green New Deal is the greatest, most audacious bank heist in history.

Climate Hysteria (or is it Climate Hypocrisy) has become so irrational that the 'Greens' in Germany are planning to clear-cut a thousand year-old forest to make way for a wind farm. In other words, they are planning to destroy the environment in the name of saving the climate.

The Reinhardswald is one of the few remaining old-growth forests in Europe and is known as the “treasure house of European forests”.

Yep, let's cut down one of the oldest and most pristine wildlife habitats in Europe and put up some wind turbines.... you know... to save nature. Click the pic for more.

Climate Hysteria - Part 2

In the previous post I talked about the U.N. doomsday proclamation from 1989. Last August The UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) published Climate Change 2021 their sixth periodic assessment of climate change (it is no longer called global warming).

Code Red For Humanity
I downloaded the 1800+ page report and read the 41 page 'summary'. The document clearly states that it should not be cited, quoted or distributed so I am going to cite, quote and distribute.

The document itself is written by “scientists” but is based largely on computer simulations and “scientific” speculation of what the temperature has been over the past 800,000 years.

Since the document is largely speculation almost every paragraph states it is “likely” or “very likely” or “medium confidence”. In other words, the authors are giving themselves an escape hatch in the “very likely” event that the report is spectacularly incorrect like all the previous reports.

After reading the summary, I came to the conclusion that the next 50 years won't be so bad after all.

The UN Secretary-General’s statement, however, expresses no such hope or doubts. It is the same shrill prophesy of impending doom the UN (globalists) have been pushing for the past 50+ years.

“Today’s IPCC Working Group 1 Report is a code red for humanity. The alarm bells are deafening, and the evidence is irrefutable:”
“This report must sound a death knell for coal and fossil fuels, before they destroy our planet.”
“Countries should also end all new fossil fuel exploration and production”

But Wait!!! As always there's still time to save Terra if we give astounding sums of money to the UN for the next 80 years.

“If we combine forces now, we can avert climate catastrophe. … there is no time for delay and no room for excuses.”

Though I’m not a scientist I am very familiar with the scientific process. The following sections will explain why the IPCC report is not credible.

Cherry Picking the Data
Here is a quote from the IPCC report: “the likely range of total human caused temperature increase from 1850 to 2019 is 0.8 C to 1.3 C…”.   Note that 1853 is generally regarded as the end of the Little Ice Age that caused wide spread famine and much human suffering. Only someone who is utterly and totally dishonest would pick the end of an ICE AGE as the baseline for determining if the world is getting warmer. Of course it’s getting warmer and that is a damn good thing.

Using Unsupported Data
Another quote: “Global surface temperature has increased faster since 1970 than in any other 50-year period over at least the last 2000 years (high confidence).” The thermometer wasn’t invented until 1714 so there are absolutely no historical records of temperature in the Roman Empire.

Any statement about temperatures 2000 years ago is NOT “high confidence”. Unless they discovered some clay tablets (or papyrus scrolls) showing how much antiperspirant Julius Caesar bought…. Or perhaps they found Cleopatra’s air conditioning bill.

Disregard Science That Doesn’t Fit the Agenda
They mention that temps have increased faster over the past 50 years but they completely ignore the fact that the last 50 years have also experienced the highest sunspot activity in the last 400 years. They don’t even consider that the Sun might be a factor.

Claim That Good Is Bad
They even claim that a beneficial effect is actually BAD.

Here ya’ go: “Changes in the land biosphere since 1970 are consistent with global warming: climate zones have shifted poleward in both hemispheres, and the growing season has on average lengthened by up to two days per decade since the 1950s in the Northern Hemisphere … (high confidence).”

In short, they have high confidence that the growing season in the Northern Hemisphere has increased by almost two weeks since the 1950’s. YAY! We can grow more food to feed our ever-expanding global population.

Ignore Political Reality
The Secretary-General of the UN states that ‘we’ can save Earth if we immediately stop building any new coal-fired power plants and utterly phase out fossil fuel in 20 years.   But the Paris Climate Accord allows China to keep building coal-fired power plants until 2035 and India is racing to keep up.

Is the Secretary-General living in a fantasy world or is this just another UN fund-raiser at America’s expense?

China is already responsible for 29% of global CO2 emissions which is more than double the United States at about 14%. Let’s put this in perspective… under the Paris Accord, by 2035 China and India will be responsible for at least 60-70% of global CO2 and America will be responsible for much less than 10%. Move the Goalposts
In 1989 a previous UN Secretary General claimed that temps would rise by 7 degrees and sea level would increase by 3 feet by the year 2019. In fact, temps have increased less than 1 degree and sea level has increased by 3-5 inches. Since the UN can longer make super-scary predictions about the next 30-50 years they have extended their computer simulation to the year 2300 and beyond. “Over the next 2000 years, global mean sea level will rise by about 2 to 3 meters”

WOW! In 2000 years (yes thousand) Miami and Los Angeles might be under water. CODE RED Better Start Packing! PANIC! PANIC!

Conclusion
The UN continues to promote Climate Hysteria. They assume that the world's youth are too young to remember all of their failed predictions. "Watch me pull a crisis out of my hat. This time for sure"

The Boogeymen of Doom - Climate Hysteria - Part 1

Climate Hysteria Has Nothing To Do With Environmentalism
I want to start this segment by again stating that we are environmentalists and very dedicated to sustainable design and living. I am not a Climate Denier, so let me state my position for the record:

Climate Change is occurring and has been occurring relentlessly for billions of years
The climate is warming and has been warming since the end of the last Great Ice Age 12,000 years ago.
Cave persons did not cause the Great Ice Age and humans are not responsible for the 12,000 year global warm period we are enjoying today.
Human activity and fossil fuels may be contributing to or accelerating the current warming trend
However, warming and increased CO2 will actually benefit humanity with longer growing seasons, increased food production and faster regeneration of forests.
Warm is good and cold is bad for civilization.

The Climate Change Boogeyman
In the 1970's , the climate 'experts' were predicting that burning fossil fuel would cause another Ice Age by the year 2000. When that didn't happen they did an about-face and switched from Global Freezing to Global Warming.

Here is an apocalyptic warning from a senior UN environmental official. He states that "we have only 10 years to solve the greenhouse effect before it’s too late". If we don’t act immediately then, within 30 years, global temperatures will increase by as much as 7 degrees and the sea level will rise by 3 feet and seacoast cities like New York and Los Angeles will be underwater. Pretty scary stuff! If only there was a shred of truth to the prediction.

Comically, this 30 year prediction was written 33 years ago in 1989. The sea level has actually risen a bit over 3 inches in that time. Big, BIG, FAIL. You can’t make this stuff up. https://apnews.com/bd45c372caf118ec99964ea547880cd0

Their prediction that the Himalayas would melt in ten years was so spectacularly incorrect that Al Gore needed to find a more vulnerable target.

Mount Kilimanjaro is near the equator in one of the hottest, driest climates on Earth. Surely, the glaciers there would soon disappear. So, in 2006 Al Gore (the Profit of Doom) stated that there would be no more snow (or glaciers) on Mount Kilimanjaro by 2016 (the typical 10 year timeframe). Well it’s 2022 and the snow is still there.

By 2010 it was pretty obvious that Global Warming wasn't really an existential threat to humanity so the globalists switched the narrative again to ... Climate Change. This is a brilliant way to confuse and deceive people because the climate is always changing.

The predictions of so called "Climate Scientists" have been totally incorrect for more than 50 years. But the U.N. keeps coming out with new doomsday predictions. More on that next time.

A New Direction - Sustaining Liberty

Sustaining Liberty
As an engineer I have been interested in sustainable design, energy efficiency, and the use of recycled and/or durable material for several decades. As an environmentalist, I have been interested in enjoying and preserving natural spaces, particularly forests.

Today, the neoTerra Blog is starting a new direction. Our Constitutional rights and our Republic are under assault from 'democratic' socialists and globalists. It is time to focus on Sustaining Liberty.

Sustaining planet Terra means nothing if we lose our fundamental rights as free people. I do not intend to save trees while losing my rights and dignity as a human being.

Elitism and the Globalist Agenda
Elitism has always existed. Emperors, monarchs, priesthoods, dictators and university intellectuals have always promoted the belief they were entitled to rule over the common people. Often, two (or more) of these groups collaborated to maintain power. For example, monarchies granted religious orders land and wealth and the priesthoods convinced the masses that the monarchy was ordained by GOD.

With few exceptions, this situation prevailed over humanity ever since the rise of agriculture and the establishment of towns and cities (the ancient Greeks and the Roman Republic being two exceptions).

Today, Progressive Elitism is on the rise. This is not due to any superiority of progressive philosophy which is nothing more than fresh rationalism for age-old tyranny. It is funded by globalists who create foundations to hire armies of lobbyists, activists and 'experts' to promote their agenda. I will provide concrete examples in future posts.

Individual, Unalienable Rights
The United States was founded on a simple belief that governments have no natural right to exist. That ALL rights (and all responsibilities) inherently belong to individual human beings. That governments shall be formed by people for their mutual benefit and that those governments shall only have the rights, authorities and powers that the people choose to grant.

Our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution (and its many refinements through the properly enacted Amendments) categorically reject aristocracy and elite rulers.

Furthermore, the United States is NOT a democracy to be governed by mob-rule. It is a Constitutional Republic designed with checks and balances to insure that the rights of ALL individuals are upheld.

A New Direction - Future Topics
The Progressive Elites have intentionally created a number of boogeymen to induce fear within the population and convince people that only by relinquishing their individual freedoms can Big Brother save them from destruction.

Some of these boogeymen include:

Global scarcity, famine and dog-eat-dog warfare over scraps
Climate Hysteria
Spiraling crime
Pandemics

The globalists have been pushing these topics since the Limits To Growth was published by the elite Club of Rome in the early 1970's. None of their predictions have come true in the past 50 years.
