neoTerra and the Three Bears

One of the pleasures of living in the forest is observing the wildlife. We have deer, bear, wild turkeys and many smaller animals (like pesty raccoons).

I have seen a bobcat on the property twice. There are reports of coyotes but I haven't seen them.

This year we have two families of bears. One is an older female with two two-year old cubs and the other is a younger female with two yearlings.

Normally, the female mates every other year and the cubs stay with her until they are almost two. In the fall, she chases them off for a short romance with papa bear and begins to bulk-up for winter.

This year, however, there has been such a huge bounty of hickory nuts and acorns that she hasn't chased them away. One or the other family has been here foraging every day for the last four days.

I've been preoccupied for the past few weeks so there haven't been many posts.

We Are Going (To The Moon)
First, we took a road trip to Cape Canaveral and had the great experience of seeing the Artemis launch to the Moon! YAY America!!

The Jason Loner Chronicles
Second, I've been working on a dystopian future-fiction tale to submit to the National November Writers Month contest. Unfortunately my muse failed me and I did not make it to the 50,000 word minimum by November 30th .... I ran out of inspiration around 39,000. Maybe next year!

I do think it is a fairly engaging dystopian love story, set in the Great Reset world of 2052. It has a bit of 1984, a bit of Brave New World and chronicles a desperate attempt to escape from Socialist Serfdom in the global New World Order.

If you'd like to read it, please reply. I need some inspiration to get to 50,000.

The Great (NAZI) Reset
I keep hearing about how Conservatives are semi-fascists and NAZIs. Well, here is a small dose of reality.

Please try to convince me that these global leaders, all affiliated with Klaus Schwab and his World Economic Forum, don't realize that their logo is a swastika.

Please try to convince me that George Soros, one of the last living NAZI collaborators of WWII doesn't remember the swastika armband he proudly wore. Please convince me.

RoboCop
RoboCop, originally set in deteriorating future Detroit is a dystopian tale of a society that deploys deadly armed robots against its own citizens to guarantee the safety of the elites.

Well, my friends, the future has arrived about ten years early. After voting to defund the police... after voting to decriminalize robbery and mayhem.. San Francisco has deteriorated into an urban Democrat shithole where even the husband of the Speaker Of The House is not safe in his gated compound.

So, the elite intellectuals have voted 8 to 3 to deploy armed robots against the serfs ... I mean citizens.. of San Francisco.

Kirk Burkhalter, a member of the Board of Supervisors said "police departments around the country will follow San Francisco's lead, making it commonplace to deploy robots to use deadly force."

You voted for this, California, I'll be waiting to write articles about the "Defund The Killer Robots" movement.

In the meantime, do any of you remember the classic line from "The Graduate"? I suppose not... it goes "I have one word for you... plastics". Well, in the spirit of The Graduate I have one word for y'all "M855".

The Constitution
Folks, I have bashed many, many Democrats for their disrespect of the Constitution. I have railed against them for attempts to destroy our Constitutional checks-and-balances by packing the Supreme court or declaring (illegally) that DC should become a tiny, little state so they can get two more senators.

Today, I am sad to say, that Donald Trump has joined the Democrat Hall of Shame. He has posted on Truth.
"A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution."

I'm reserving judgement for 48 hours because the story is running rampant on Progressive media (the coverage on aljazeera is almost comical).

That said... Sorry, Don, but no one is above the Constitution... retract this statement or you lose both my respect and support.

Climate Craziness

It's been a while since I wrote a climate rant, but today we have the perfect storm... a storm of Socialist Stupidity (I love alliteration).

Europe, of course, is the home of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the world leader on the Green Road To Serfdom.

As y'all know, we are supposed to abandon fossil fuel and buy overpriced EVs to save Mother Terra from Climate Catastrophe (more alliteration).

Switzerland
Today, facing a serious energy shortage, Switzerland proposed legislation to ban driving EVs to avoid electricity blackouts. YAY! Under the four-stage plan driving EV's would be banned in stage-3 except in cases of 'absolute necessity". And in stage-4 you hibernate at home.

Germany
Meanwhile, in Germany, the CEO of Volkswagen, a company that has 'bet the ranch' on EV's has declared that crippling energy costs in Europe are making the production of EV batteries there 'unviable'.

Let me rephrase this so we can all appreciate the irony. Without fossil fuel from Russia, Germany has to rely on their Green Energy infrastructure. But the Green Energy is so expensive that they can't afford to continue making Green Energy components.

Please let that sink in for a moment.

Analysis And Conclusion
I have a 'portable' Honda gas generator (It was portable when I was younger... now I can hardly get it into the back of my truck).   I have come up with a new 'pickup' technique (get it... pickup from a pickup... I love my own jokes!).

Guys, I'm getting too old for this sort of thing so just consider it a bit of elderly insight that might help you find a mate. BTW, you need to select a target rich environment... such as an upscale neighborhood with a lot of single, educated, Tesla-driving women.

It will take at least an hour (maybe two) for a puny 120 volt genny to trickle out enough electrons to get her to a real charging station. So, once you're plugged-in, she's yours (OMG, get your minds out of the gutter).

If you don't act like a creepy dork, you just might connect.

Scarcity - The Shortage Report

As we head into heating season it's appropriate to check up on recent shortages.

Pharmaceuticals
Back in October I wrote about shortages of Adderall and Ozempic (a diabetes medication). This month we can add shortages of antibiotics such as amoxicillin and Augmentin (a form of amoxicillin).

This seems almost unbelievable to me since pharmaceutical grade amoxicillin is still readily available from Pet Meds. I suppose that pets aren't willing to pay a premium to get critical antibiotics.

There are also shortages of Tamiflu and other over-the-counter cold medications.

Apparently, there is also a shortage of ibuprofen so try not to get a New Year's Eve hangover.

Baby Formula
Remember the baby formula shortage that started almost a year ago? Sure you do. Well the Administration put a band-aid on the problem for a few months by shipping formula in from the UK. But the shortage continues and the King's Subjects can longer afford to bail Joe out. Manufacturers are saying the shortage will continue until spring.

Diesel
There is a growing global shortage of diesel and home heating fuel. Here in the US, the diesel shortage has impacted the Southeastern states and a shortage of home heating oil will have a major impact on the New England states this winter (Heating oil is still used extensively in the Blue Northeast where the scream the loudest for the rest of us to cut our carbon footprints).

Over the long run the situation will only get worse. Based on the relentless pandering to Climate Hysterians, the CEO of Chevron flatly states that there will never be another refinery built in the US.
